DB Financial Investment is showing strong performance in early trading following the announcement of its corporate value enhancement plan. It recorded a 52-week high during the session.
As of 9:12 AM on the 6th, DB Financial Investment is trading at 5,160 KRW, up 300 KRW (6.17%) from the previous day. During the session, the price rose to 5,330 KRW, setting a new 52-week high.
On the previous day, DB Financial Investment disclosed its corporate value enhancement plan, which includes ▲achieving a return on equity (ROE) of over 10% by 2027 ▲exceeding the industry average price-to-book ratio (PBR) by 2027 ▲maintaining a shareholder return ratio of over 40% for the next three years.
The 40% shareholder return ratio significantly exceeds DB Financial Investment’s average shareholder return ratio of 27.6% over the past five years and is higher than that of other securities firms that have previously announced value-up plans. Additionally, the company believes that its current PBR is excessively undervalued and aims to restore it to above the average PBR of the securities industry. It also expects that if a revaluation of the securities industry as a whole occurs in the future, achieving a PBR of 1.0 is possible.
