HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore Establish Integrated Manufacturing Center in North America

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore have established an integrated manufacturing center in the United States to target North America, the world's largest construction equipment market.

HD Hyundai Site Solutions announced on the 6th that its major construction equipment affiliates, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore, held an opening ceremony for the 'HD Hyundai Integrated Customization Center' on the 4th (local time) in Brunswick, Georgia, USA.

The opening ceremony was attended by Cho Young-chul, President of HD Hyundai Site Solutions; John Felitto, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL); and local port and logistics officials from the Brunswick area.

The Customization Center spans 41,300㎡ (approximately 12,500 pyeong) and assembles and completes semi-finished products manufactured in Korea according to customer order specifications locally.

With the establishment of this integrated center, both companies are expected to gain synergy through economies of scale. Additionally, being close to the Port of Brunswick, which handles the second-largest volume of Ro-Ro ships (vessels transporting cars and trucks) in the U.S., is anticipated to improve logistics cost reduction and shorten delivery times.

In particular, the integrated operation of assembly and production lines can maximize sales synergy between the two companies by enabling market-tailored product manufacturing and timely supply, thereby expanding sales channels. HD Hyundai plans to utilize the integrated center as a strategic cross-selling base for both companies' products to increase market share in North America.

According to global market research firm BlueWeave Consulting, the North American construction equipment market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6.0%, reaching approximately $40 billion (about 53.4 trillion KRW) by 2028.

In his opening remarks, President Cho Young-chul said, "The establishment of the Integrated Customization Center will be an important milestone in targeting the North American market," adding, "By leveraging the synergy of both companies, we will maximize efficiency in product quality, delivery, and cost, accelerating our opportunity to leap to the top tier in advanced markets."

Meanwhile, on the previous day, the 3rd (Tuesday), President Cho visited the parts supply center (PDC) of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore located in Miami, Florida, and held meetings with executives of NED, a global mega dealer, actively engaging in local inspections and sales activities to strengthen their position in the North American market.
