"Trump Back to the White House" Wall Street's Cheerleader 'This Person' [News Figures]

Howard Lutnick Canter Fitzgerald CEO
Typical 'Wall Street Man' with over 40 years of experience
Donated 16.2 billion KRW and held a fundraising event
Possible appointment as Finance Minister if re-elected

Ahead of the U.S. presidential election this November, there is a Wall Street figure who is actively working to help former President Donald Trump return to the White House. He is Howard Lutnick, CEO of the American financial investment firm Cantor Fitzgerald. Known as a arrogant salesman and ruthless dealmaker, Lutnick CEO is also called the "Trump of Wall Street." There are speculations that if former President Trump wins the election, Lutnick could take on key positions such as Secretary of the Treasury.

Foreign media outlets including Bloomberg recently reported that Lutnick CEO has been actively assisting Trump’s campaign by attending events with the former president and raising donations. The amount of political donations he has made to the Republican Party this year alone is $12.1 million (approximately 16.2 billion KRW). He also takes the lead in organizing fundraising events to gather money.

Last month, the Trump campaign appointed Lutnick CEO as co-chair of the transition committee alongside Linda McMahon, former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Leveraging over 40 years of experience and networks on Wall Street, Lutnick CEO has begun compiling a list of potential candidates for administrative appointments should Trump re-enter the White House. He emphasized, "I want to help former President Trump find the best talent and recruit players to build a first-class administration."

Lutnick CEO is a typical Wall Street man. Born in 1961, he joined Cantor Fitzgerald immediately after graduating from college in 1983. Eight years later, in 1991, he became president and CEO, and five years after that, in 1996, he was appointed chairman. He is known to be competitive to the point of being willing to go to any lengths for success and is recognized as a workaholic who focuses on work 24/7.

After the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which killed 658 of the 960 employees at Cantor Fitzgerald including his younger brother, Lutnick CEO once prioritized the pursuit of happiness in life. However, Bloomberg reported that he has recently returned to his competitive Wall Street persona, working around the clock.

The connection between Lutnick CEO and former President Trump began decades ago. After the 9/11 attacks that killed 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees at the World Trade Center, it was Trump who supported Lutnick CEO in rebuilding the company. Lutnick appeared on Trump’s reality TV show The Celebrity Apprentice, which aired from 2008, and has also hosted several fundraising events for Trump in the past.

Lutnick CEO is sometimes called the "Trump of Wall Street." This nickname stems not only from their shared experience of being outsiders dismissed within their industries but also from their similar styles as arrogant salesmen and ruthless dealmakers. They also share a quick temper and a belief in exacting revenge when deceived.

As Lutnick CEO works closely with former President Trump to help him re-enter the White House, there is speculation about his potential future appointments. Insiders expect that based on his Wall Street experience, he could serve as Secretary of the Treasury or as the U.S. Ambassador to Jerusalem. Additionally, there is speculation that Lutnick CEO’s strong interest in cryptocurrency could translate into future profits for Cantor Fitzgerald. One foreign media outlet predicted, "If a Trump administration is established, it is highly likely to ease financial regulations, whereas a Democratic administration led by Kamala Harris is expected to pursue stronger financial regulations."
