Dobong-gu, Free Vehicle Safety Inspection for Chuseok on September 8
Hosted by Seoul Automobile Specialized Repair Cooperative, with Participation of Over 60 Members

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will conduct free car safety inspections on September 8th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office parking lot.
The free car safety inspection is held every year before the Chuseok holiday to ensure the safe return of residents visiting their hometowns by car.
The inspection is organized by the Dobong-gu branch of the Seoul Automobile Specialized Maintenance Cooperative, with about 60 branch members expected to participate on the day.
The main inspection items include oil and antifreeze levels, bulbs, tire condition, steering, and battery status. All inspection costs are completely free.
Residents who have their vehicles inspected on this day will also receive consumable replacement services such as wiper blades.
No separate reservation or document preparation is required to receive the inspection; residents can simply visit the location during the inspection hours.
A district official stated, “Since many visitors are expected in the morning, we recommend visiting in the afternoon.”
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Despite it being a Sunday, I thank the president and members of the Dobong-gu branch of the Automobile Specialized Maintenance Cooperative for volunteering to ensure the safe return of our residents.” He added, “I hope residents get their vehicles inspected before long-distance driving to prevent safety accidents.”
