Geumcheon-gu Operates 'Urikkiri Run Class,' a Career and Academic Special Lecture That Comes to You Anywhere

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that it will run the customized lecture program "Urikkiri Learn Class," where career and college admission experts visit to provide tailored lectures, until December this year.

"Urikkiri Learn Class" is an education-specialized program in which experts visit the location and topic specified by the applicants to conduct customized special lectures related to career and college admission. It targets small groups formed by schools, parents, or students.

Lectures cover various fields including college credit system and university entrance exams in the admission area, career and learning guidance tailored to children's tendencies in the learning area, communication between parents and children using personality tests, as well as economic education and space exploration.

The district conducts special lectures for educationally vulnerable groups in cooperation with family centers and out-of-school youth support centers, and has expanded lectures previously aimed at parents to include students as well.

This year, about 900 people applied for 20 sessions of the program, and lectures are underway. In August, a special lecture on employment special admissions and entrance exam preparation was held for 150 students in grades 2-3 at Magnet High School, and a lecture on setting high school selection directions according to university entrance exams was conducted for 186 third-year students at Siheung Middle School.

In September, in cooperation with the family center, information related to high school entrance exams will be provided to middle school students and parents from multicultural families. Additionally, a special lecture on university entrance exams is planned for first- and second-year students at Doksan High School, and a lecture on "Smartphone, Game Addiction, and Prevention of Advanced Manipulation Technology (Deepfake) Crimes" is scheduled for parents at Baeksan Elementary School.

Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "We continuously operate Geumcheon-gu's own education-specialized programs to reflect and intensively support the demands in fields desired by students and parents," and added, "We hope that parents and students actively utilize the programs operated by the district to greatly help their career and college admission."

Meanwhile, in addition to "Urikkiri Learn Class," the district operates specialized career programs unique to Geumcheon-gu, such as "Star Picking Campus," where students visit Seoul National University directly, and also runs career-specialized programs throughout the year aligned with the 2025 university entrance schedule.
