Jungnang-gu Holds 'Saemaeul Altteul Market' for Chuseok to Support Underprivileged Groups

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) held the Saemaeul Thrift Market at the central square of the district office on the 5th, organized by the Saemaeul Women's Association.

This event was prepared with the goal of supporting the development of the local community and assisting marginalized groups, providing various benefits to residents and contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

At the event, a total of 16 booths were set up where residents sold various donated or consigned items at affordable prices. Additionally, popular food booths offering dishes such as buchimgae, tteokbokki, and noodles were operated, attracting much interest.

Notably, this year's thrift market was held ahead of the Chuseok holiday, with holiday gifts and various products sold at low prices.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of goods and food will be used to help neighbors in need within the community.

A resident who participated in the market shared, "It was a great opportunity to purchase necessary items at affordable prices ahead of Chuseok."

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, "The thrift market is a meaningful event that contributes to revitalizing the local economy and supporting low-income residents," adding, "I deeply thank the Saemaeul Women's Association for their dedication to the development of the community and the welfare of residents."
