Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) will hold the 'Songpa Education Expo' at Seoul Nori Madang on the 10th and 11th, with about 3,000 participants including youth, parents, and teachers.
This expo will feature over 40 programs, ranging from providing various information needed in the educational field and career and job exploration to a stage where young people can showcase their honed talents and skills.
First, the district will conduct an 'Education Forum' for students and parents over two days. This event is designed to help them quickly respond to the rapidly changing educational environment. On the first day, Professor Baek Seung-kwon of Dongguk University, author of 'Writing Bible,' will give a special lecture on the theme of 'Literacy, Empathy, and Communication Skills That Future Talents Must Have.'
On the second day, admissions expert Oh Jae-sung, director of Dawon Research Institute, will continue with a college entrance briefing session for prospective examinees.
There will also be a 'Student Club Performance' where young people become the main actors on stage. For two days, starting at 2 p.m. each day, 12 teams from elementary, middle, and high schools, youth centers, and lifelong learning clubs will perform on a special stage set up at Seoul Nori Madang. They will showcase their talents and skills in band, dance, cheerleading, musical instrument performances, and more.
At the experience booths, visitors can take career aptitude tests, receive learning consultations, and participate in various hands-on activities. These include ▲ learning style tests and customized self-directed learning counseling, ▲ edutech experiences such as 4D frames and drones, and ▲ experiences of promising jobs in finance, public institutions, and as creators.
Additionally, the district has organized a stamp tour offering photo booth tickets or ice cream sponsored by Daebo Construction, along with photo zones and rest areas throughout the venue, creating a fun-filled expo.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “We have prepared this expo so that just by visiting, people can learn about the latest educational information and trends of change,” adding, “I hope it will be a meaningful time to seriously reflect together, enjoy the experiences, and look at the present and future of Songpa education.”
