On the morning of the 5th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the site of the '2024 Gender Equality Week Commemoration Event' held at the Mapo District Office.
This event, held to mark Gender Equality Week, featured a commemorative ceremony, experience and food booths, and a 'Sharing Love with Jang' event where participants made gochujang for neighbors.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su attended the commemorative ceremony and awarded commendations to those who contributed to realizing a gender-equal society.
In his congratulatory speech, he said, "Mapo District spares no effort in supporting women who have experienced career interruptions to find quality jobs again through education, employment and entrepreneurship support, and childcare assistance." He added, "For true gender equality, awareness must change in daily life, so I hope everyone will join in creating a society where all are equal and respected."
After the ceremony, Mayor Park Gang-su visited the booths set up in the plaza to encourage the event participants.
