The prosecution has conducted a search and seizure on Shin Sungbeom, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party (representing Sancheong, Hamyang, Geochang, and Hapcheon in Gyeongnam), who is suspected of violating the Public Official Election Act.
The Criminal Division 4 of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office carried out the search and seizure on the morning of the 5th at Shin's offices in Geochang and Hapcheon, as well as his residence.
A prosecution official stated, "We cannot disclose specific details of the investigation."
