Gwangjin-gu Improves Environmental Officer Uniform Functionality to Enhance Work Efficiency

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is improving the work uniforms of environmental officers to enhance work efficiency in preparation for the winter season.

The work uniforms for environmental officers are purchased twice a year, after product evaluations in both summer and winter. The officers personally try them on and make comprehensive judgments based on warmth, convenience, and comfort. This year, considering the winter field conditions, uniforms with improved functions were selected.

The uniforms consist of tops, bottoms, inner tops, and inner bottoms. The outer fabric is equipped with a heat-generating lining to increase warmth and has undergone anti-fouling treatment to prevent contaminants from easily sticking. The lining uses brushed fabric and includes an anti-static function to enhance comfort and safety. High-luminance reflective materials were attached to improve visibility at night, and stretch fabric was used to ensure elasticity.

Additionally, sturdy, lightweight, and comfortable safety equipment is provided to improve work efficiency.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have prepared uniforms with added safety and convenience features to create a better working environment. We appreciate the dedication of the environmental officers who strive to keep the streets clean, and we will continue to ensure that they can work in a safe and pleasant environment.”

The district is also making efforts to boost morale and improve working conditions for environmental officers by providing birthday gifts, conducting industrial inspections, improving rest area environments, and supporting health checkup expenses.
