Ulsan Ulju County announced on the 5th that it will carry out a trail maintenance project to create safe forest paths until December 11.
This project is being implemented to prevent accidents and create pleasant hiking trails in line with the maintenance of local hiking trails and the Yeongnam Alps forest paths. The county plans to provide high-value forest recreation services to meet the increasing demand for forest trails (hiking trails) in residential areas.
The project targets the areas around Munsusan, Jeongjoksan, Namamsan, Daeunsan, and Guksibong, where aged facilities such as decks and rope fences will be repaired or replaced to ensure convenience for visitors.
In addition, to actively respond to various safety accidents and inconveniences that may occur while using the popular Yeongnam Alps forest paths nationwide, the county will repair existing hiking trail facilities to ensure the safety of hikers and promote mountain tourism.
An Ulju County official stated, "We will do our best to maintain the hiking trails and facilities so that hikers visiting Ulju can safely enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and create precious memories," and added, "We ask for your cooperation as access to some sections may be temporarily restricted during the project period."
