Changwon Special City to Operate Temporary City Bus Routes for Chuseok Visitors to Ancestral Graves

Temporary Buses to Run Between Masan Station and Changwon Park Cemetery, and Between Changwon Jungang Station and Changwon City Sangbok Park on June 17-18

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has established temporary city bus routes to operate to Changwon Park Cemetery and Changwon Municipal Sangbok Park during the Chuseok holiday period to improve transportation convenience for visitors paying respects at ancestral graves.

These temporary routes will operate for two days, from the 17th to the 18th, with two routes running from Masan Station to Changwon Park Cemetery (Jindong-myeon, Masanhappo-gu) and one route from Changwon Jungang Station to Changwon Municipal Sangbok Park (Sangbok-dong, Seongsan-gu).


The temporary routes to Changwon Park Cemetery consist of two lines, each with three buses operating nine times in total. The first route departs from Masan Station and passes through Gyeongnam Bank Headquarters↔Burim Market↔Seoseong Intersection↔Masan Happo District Office↔Jindong-myeon Changwon Park Cemetery. The second route runs from Masan Station↔Hanil Intersection↔Shinsegae Department Store↔Fish Market↔Masan Happo District Office↔Jindong-myeon Changwon Park Cemetery. These routes apply the express bus fare (cash 1,800 KRW, card 1,750 KRW).


The Changwon Municipal Sangbok Park route departs from Changwon Jungang Station, passing through ‘Military Manpower Administration↔Changwon Jungbu Police Station↔City Hall↔Emart↔Changwon Hospital↔Namchangwon Station’ to Sangbok Park (2 buses, 10 times daily, every 45 minutes). This route charges the regular city bus fare (cash 1,500 KRW, card 1,450 KRW).


Lee Jongdeok, Director of the Transportation and Construction Bureau, stated, “Along with the operation of temporary city bus routes, we will also run a separate traffic control room at City Hall to ensure a comfortable and pleasant holiday for returning residents.”
