Kim Yong-hyun (45), a dancer and choreographer who gained fame, suddenly passed away.


According to the industry, Kim passed away on the 3rd. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. Upon hearing the news of his passing, celebrities who were close to him collectively mourned.


Gahye from After School posted on her social media (SNS) along with a clip from the music video of the song "It's ME," saying, "I should have gone as soon as I heard the news last week, but it was too late, oppa. It's so sad and such a loss to hear this news so suddenly because you were such a beautiful, young, and talented dancer." She added, "Thank you for being with me. I am really very grateful. Oppa looks so beautiful in the memorial photo, which makes it even more unbelievable and upsetting. Rest in peace. I will remember you as a wonderful dancer."


Singer Gilgun also expressed condolences, saying, "I'm sorry and thank you, my friend. Seeing you smile until the end, I felt like I could hear your laughter." He continued, "My friend, please watch over us from there. I will try to be smart, not a fool. When we meet again, let's dance together then too."


Kim is known for creating the choreography for Brown Eyed Girls' "Sigeonbang Dance" and KARA's "Butt Dance." He worked with choreography teams DOHC and YAMA and served as the CEO of Withus Company. In the past, he appeared on MBC's "Infinite Challenge" and joined the cheering squad for the 2014 Brazil World Cup, where he created the "Kkok Kkok Dance."


Meanwhile, Kim's funeral is being held at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 2. The funeral procession will take place at 10 a.m. on the 5th, and the burial site is Incheon Family Park.
