Collecting Opinions on Education Expense Subsidy Satisfaction and Improvements Until October 6
‘School Visiting Chat Meetings’ Also Held for Two Months Starting This Month
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) is conducting a "Survey for Establishing the 2025 Education Expense Subsidy Support Plan" until October 6 to improve the educational environment that can be felt by students, parents, and all local residents.
Dongdaemun-gu supports schools with an education expense subsidy of 12 billion KRW, one of the highest levels among autonomous districts, and is striving to improve educational conditions. Mayor Ilpyeong Lee also expressed his ambition, stating, "We will focus on educational development as a key project so that the newly incoming younger generation can settle in the area."
This survey was prepared to collect opinions from various social members who receive direct and indirect benefits from the education expense subsidy, such as schools, students, and parents, in order to set a support direction that actual beneficiaries can feel and empathize with.
The survey includes satisfaction with the current status of education expense subsidy support, areas for improvement, and opinions on key support programs. Anyone interested in the educational development of Dongdaemun-gu, including students (parents), faculty, and general residents, can participate.
The survey is conducted online and can be accessed via an internet link or QR code.
Based on the results of this survey, the district plans to identify the educational condition improvements needed by the beneficiaries and use the data as a basis for establishing the 2025 education expense subsidy support plan.
Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "We will do our best to improve the educational environment so that children can grow into upright and creative talents," adding, "Through improving school facilities and strengthening teacher capabilities, we will make Dongdaemun-gu a 'child-friendly educational city.'"
Dongdaemun-gu will hold a "Visiting School Dialogue Meeting" for two months starting this month to listen to various voices from school sites. They plan to visit all middle and high schools in the area to share opinions with school officials and parents and strengthen communication about educational projects.
