Support for Establishing Effective Safety and Health Management Systems for Five Small Businesses
Jinju City in Gyeongsangnam-do will implement a consulting support project aimed at preventing serious accidents for five local small and medium-sized enterprises.
This consulting support project for the prevention of serious accidents is being carried out as a response to the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, which has applied to workplaces with 5 to less than 50 regular employees since January 27 of this year. The project aims to help small and medium-sized businesses effectively establish safety and health management systems.
This consulting support project targets businesses in the Jinju area with 5 to less than 50 regular employees and will be provided free of charge up to four times.
The city will entrust a safety management agency designated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to visit businesses directly and provide support. The consulting will include risk assessments for establishing safety and health management systems, identification and improvement of hazardous and risk factors, and assistance with documentation, inspections, and training covering seven key elements.
A Jinju City official stated, "We hope this support project will minimize confusion caused by the expanded enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and provide practical help for small and medium-sized businesses to establish safety and health management systems. We will continue to provide ongoing support to create a safe working environment."
