Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the '2024 Gwanak Future Education Forum' on the 12th to share a vision for future education so that adolescents can grow into creative convergence talents equipped with future competencies.


This event, now in its second year, will hold lectures with three experts under the theme "Survival Strategies in the AI Era: Discussing Future Education for Youth" to explore ways to respond to the rapidly changing educational environment in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).


First, a special lecture titled "Characteristics of Teenage Brain Development, Mental Health Issues, and Suggestions for Health in the AI Era" will be given by Professor Kim Bung-nyeon of Seoul National University Children’s Hospital Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, who appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'


Following this, there will be a keynote lecture titled "In the AI Era, What and How Should We Teach?" by Professor Kim Sang-gyun of Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Business, author of the bestseller 'Metaverse,' and another keynote lecture titled "In the AI Era, How Should We Study?" by Professor Park Ju-yong of Seoul National University Department of Psychology, who appeared on CBS's 'Sebasi.' The event will conclude with a Q&A session.

The forum will also be broadcast live on Gwanak Live, Gwanak-gu’s YouTube channel.


The district operates various educational programs to strengthen youth future competencies, including ▲‘Reading-based Humanities Education Programs’ such as school reading clubs support, youth reading humanities concerts, and reading discussion meetings ▲‘Todak Todak Village School’ utilizing local educational resources ▲‘SG Future School Campus,’ a career exploration and design program using Seoul National University’s educational infrastructure ▲‘Future Filling GO,’ an out-of-school program preparing for the high school credit system.


Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “Through this forum, I hope that adolescents will grow into creative convergence future talents and that educational stakeholders in the region will cultivate a sense of educational community and communicate with each other. We will continue to actively support and promote various educational projects to establish a foundation for future education.”
