In addition, an advanced major course will be established, opening the path to obtaining a four-year bachelor's degree through an in-depth degree program.

The Comics and Animation major is attracting outstanding students nationwide by conducting both practical and non-practical admission tracks simultaneously.

The Art Media Department produces specialists who can immediately work in the field upon graduation, thanks to an education curriculum tailored to industry demands, state-of-the-art video equipment, expertise in new media content production, and differentiated competitiveness and field-oriented customized education compared to other universities.

Looking at the characteristics of each major, the Art Media Interdisciplinary Major, newly established in 2025, is a selectable major that allows students to explore fields suited to their talents and aptitudes after acquiring information about majors and departments and completing a common curriculum, enabling them to advance to the department of their choice.

The Comics and Animation major consists of detailed tracks such as Webtoon Content and Game Animation Design. It provides practical, hands-on education through mentoring by an excellent faculty active in the industry, as well as a TA group composed of webtoon artists, illustrators, animators, and 3D game modeling experts.

The Broadcasting and Video Media major includes tracks such as Broadcasting Video Creator and Video Editing and Production. Its goal is to cultivate advanced digital video experts with integrated skills in planning, production, and post-production of broadcasting video content, blending technology and design across all areas.

The Visual Design major aims to nurture professional designers equipped with cutting-edge digital technology and artistic sensibility. Students develop proficiency in various design software and creative problem-solving skills, enabling them to succeed in online advertising content and various fields related to visual design. Most students find employment in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The Art Media Department is focusing on nurturing outstanding talent by signing industry-academia cooperation agreements with media content-related companies. Park Kyungsik, CEO of R121, a global advertising video production company responsible for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, said, "Currently, two graduates from Yeungjin College are working here, performing equally well alongside graduates from four-year universities. We will actively strive to further expand our industry-academia cooperation with Yeungjin College to become a leading and exemplary model for nurturing local talent."

The department has also signed agreements with organizations such as the Daegu Publishing Support Center, Daegu City Urban Campus, and Daegu-Gyeongbuk Film and Video Social Cooperative, jointly promoting talent development and content commercialization, and contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

It has built excellent facilities such as a Comics and Webtoon Creation Studio (Wacom Cintiq 24" tablets, designated studio space), Animation Creation Studio, Post-Production Studio (filming system), Comprehensive Editing Room (editing system), Multipurpose Practice Room (for capstone classes and practice), and Video Studio. Based on this advanced infrastructure, it provides high-quality education through apprenticeship and mentoring by outstanding industry professionals.

Professor Kim Kwangho, who oversees the Art Media Department, said, "We are closely cooperating with the industry to provide career guidance and field training for students," and added, "We will focus on nurturing the infrastructure and talent required by the region and industry by continuing to invest in education and supporting level-based, customized learning."
