Accelerating the Development of New Efficacy Prediction Models
Developing AI Models Targeting Specific Diseases

The Intelligent Informatization Center of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development held the 2nd Expert Advisory Committee meeting on September 3 regarding the "Development of an AI-based Anticancer Herbal Medicine Formulation Algorithm Using Experimental Information on Herbal Medicine."

National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Holds Advisory Committee on "AI-Based Anticancer Herbal Medicine Formulation Algorithm Development" The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development held the 2nd Expert Advisory Committee meeting on the "Development of an AI-based Anticancer Herbal Medicine Formulation Algorithm Using Experimental Information on Herbal Medicine" and took a group photo.

The advisory committee was convened as part of the "Korean Medicine AI Platform Development Project" to review the progress of the "Development of an AI-based Anticancer Herbal Medicine Formulation Algorithm Using Experimental Information on Herbal Medicine" and to discuss the future direction of the research.


This research aims to develop an AI model targeting a specific disease (triple-negative breast cancer) and to demonstrate the potential for predicting the efficacy and safety of Korean medicine.


During the 2nd Expert Advisory Committee meeting, experts from academia, industry, and research institutes engaged in in-depth discussions on data collection and analysis methodologies for developing an AI-based herbal medicine formulation algorithm model, as well as the application of network pharmacology to AI development.


A representative from the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development stated, "This Expert Advisory Committee will serve as a significant turning point for the advancement of AI technology in the field of Korean medicine and the development of new efficacy prediction for herbal medicine. We will do our utmost to enhance the completeness of the research and achieve tangible results by incorporating the diverse opinions of experts."
