1:1 Large-Scale Business Consultation
Live Commerce Broadcast Sales Event and More
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups, together with the Small and Medium Business Corporation and the Korea Federation of SMEs Distribution Center, will hold the '2024 Korea Sourcing Week' event at Hall 9B, Exhibition Center 2, KINTEX Ilsan from September 5 to 6.
Korea Sourcing Week is a comprehensive market expansion support event where export and domestic business consultations can be received simultaneously in one place. To support small and medium enterprises' overseas expansion and domestic market growth, the previously separate export market business consultation fair (Global Sourcing Fair) and domestic market business consultation fair (Marketing Fair) have been integrated and held together since 2022.
This year’s event will feature participation from about 1,200 domestic SMEs, 114 buyers from 31 overseas countries, and 54 domestic distribution channels including home shopping, department stores, and open markets. Detailed programs include a 1:1 online and offline export consultation with about 700 overseas buyers and SMEs, and a 1:1 domestic consultation with about 500 domestic distribution buyers and SMEs, both operating simultaneously.
Additionally, to allow domestic and international buyers to be introduced to and experience excellent products on-site, 100 outstanding SMEs have been selected to organize and operate an ‘Excellent Products Exhibition Hall’ covering major consumer goods such as beauty, living, and food, as well as industrial goods including IT solutions and machinery.
Furthermore, to expand market channels for SMEs, live commerce sales events targeting China and ASEAN will be conducted, along with side events such as market channel consulting with major domestic and international distribution buyers. At the opening ceremony, Vice Minister Kim Seong-seop of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups awarded 35 commendations from the Minister to those who contributed to SME market expansion and marketing support, and visited the export and domestic business consultation fairs and the Excellent Products Exhibition Hall to support contract signings for SMEs.
Vice Minister Kim Seong-seop stated, “Sourcing Week is an event to promote both domestic and export markets by showcasing the high level of innovation of our SMEs to domestic and international buyers. Through the third Korea Sourcing Week this year, we will accelerate the recent recovery of SME exports and make greater efforts to expand domestic market channels.”
