The management of HDC Hyundai Development visited the Seodaemun Central I-Park and DMC Gajaeul I-Park sites to carry out special inspections aimed at preventing safety accidents that may occur before and after the Chuseok holiday and to enhance the level of on-site safety management.
According to construction site accident statistics from the Ministry of Employment and Labor and others, the proportion of accidents occurring during holiday work periods, including the time around Chuseok, is high. In response, HDC Hyundai Development implements strengthened joint special safety inspections during holiday periods such as Chuseok and Seollal, beyond the regular monthly safety inspections conducted by management.
Cho Tae-je, CSO of HDC Hyundai Development, said, "There is a high possibility of accidents occurring when work is rushed before the Chuseok holiday or during the resumption of work using machinery and equipment after the holiday," adding, "Please focus on the work based on risk assessments and do your best to prevent accidents."

On the day of the inspection, CEO Choi Ik-hoon personally checked the securing status of materials that could scatter to prevent falling and flying accidents, and confirmed the securing of storage yards and safe passageways on site. He urged vigilance monitoring in preparation for typhoon variables before and after Chuseok and hourly site patrol inspections.
CEO Kim Hoe-eon also inspected the site, encouraging the establishment of a self-discipline prevention system such as compliance with safety rules during work and the establishment of work plans and permits. He identified areas where additional educational programs are needed to raise safety awareness.
HDC Hyundai Development designates the 4th of every month as "Safety Inspection Day," leading the way in building a self-discipline prevention culture by having all employees participate in regular safety education and inspections. The company prepares preventive measures considering seasonal accident risks such as thawing periods, heat waves, and monsoon seasons, and is making every effort to ensure on-site safety management by increasing the frequency of safety inspections.
