Made with 100% Korean Rice... Low-Temperature Fermentation and Aging for a Smooth, Clean Taste

80 Years of Tradition in Ancestral Rite Liquor... Lotte Chilsung's 'Baekhwaseubok'

This product was launched in 1945 and has been loved for about 80 years. It uses rice polished to about 30% of the outer layer from 100% domestically produced rice, and features a soft and clean taste unique to cheongju (clear rice wine) through low-temperature fermentation and aging methods. The alcohol content is 13%.

To embody the sincere heart of our people, the label uses an oriental brush calligraphy style, and gold color is applied to the label and cap (bottle cap) to highlight the image of a luxurious representative ceremonial liquor of Korea.

Baekhwaseubok is perfect for ancestral rites or holiday gifts. The company explained that it is also good to warm and drink, making it suitable for outdoor consumption in chilly seasons.

The Baekhwaseubok for ceremonial or gift purposes comes in two sizes: 700㎖ and 1.8ℓ. It can be purchased at various places such as discount stores and convenience stores. A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Baekhwaseubok, with its 80-year tradition, is a cheongju product carefully brewed with selected rice, following the methods used by our ancestors. Since the introduction of the standard sales ratio earlier this year, it has become more reasonably priced, making it a good liquor to perform ancestral rites and share blessings with family members gathered after a long time."

Meanwhile, the standard sales ratio refers to a certain percentage deducted when calculating the taxable base, considering sales profit and distribution costs. Due to the application of the standard sales ratio, the factory shipment price of domestic fermented liquors such as cheongju and yakju has decreased by up to 5.8% since February this year. Accordingly, the factory shipment price of the representative cheongju product with a 700㎖ standard was reduced by 242 won, from 4,196 won to 3,954 won.
