Park Sangdon, the Mayor of Cheonan, visited the emergency rooms of Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital and Dankook University Hospital Regional Emergency Medical Center on the 3rd to inspect the emergency medical system.

This on-site visit was arranged to encourage medical staff who are facing difficulties due to the departure of residents and the resignation of emergency medicine specialists ahead of the Chuseok holiday, to listen to their concerns, and to inspect the emergency medical system.

Currently, Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital has a team of 10 emergency medicine specialists responding to severe and emergency patients. Dankook University Hospital maintains a 24-hour emergency medical system with a total of 18 specialists, including 5 emergency medicine specialists and 13 specialists from other departments.

Mayor Park Sangdon said, "I sincerely thank the medical staff who are working hard to save patients' lives by operating the emergency room 24 hours a day despite difficult circumstances," and added, "We will actively cooperate and provide support to ensure the emergency medical system operates smoothly."
