Kinoshita said, "I had experienced depression several times before, but this time I went through symptoms I had never experienced before, so I couldn't even inform anyone on YouTube or social media." She added, "Just thinking about it was painful, and even receiving messenger notifications was scary. I couldn't meet people or leave the house." She continued, "I looked at the YouTube comments after a long time and was really happy and moved to tears knowing that people were waiting for me. I have mixed feelings of joy and apology. I am grateful and sorry." She also said, "I want to resume activities as soon as I recover."

She communicated with fans through social media, saying, "I gained 4 kg while resting but recently adjusted and lost 6.5 kg," and "I was taking sleeping pills but still couldn't sleep well." In response, netizens replied with comments such as "Welcome back," "We were waiting," "Don't overdo it," and "Don't get sick."

Kinoshita, from Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is one of the most famous mukbang influencers worldwide, with 5.26 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. She first gained recognition in 2009 by competing with mukbang champions on the Japanese reality show 'Gourmet Battle' and began her full-fledged YouTuber activities in 2014. That same year, she appeared on SBS's entertainment program 'Star King' as the 'Ultimate Infinite Foodie,' gaining recognition in Korea as well.

At that time, Kinoshita competed with the panelists in a curry-eating contest, casually finishing 30 bowls while the eight panelists ate 27 servings of curry, surprising everyone around her. The following year, she appeared on the same program again and easily ate 50 bowls of udon and 10 hamburgers.
