After Killing Ex-Girlfriend, Man in His 30s Attempts Suicide by Jumping... Arrested at Busan Officetel

At around 7:36 PM on the 3rd, a man in his 30s, Mr. A, called the police himself from the rooftop of an officetel in Yeonsan-dong, Yeonje-gu, Busan, saying, "I killed my girlfriend."

The police who arrived at the scene rescued Mr. A, who was sitting on the rooftop railing, and arrested him.

When the police forcibly opened the officetel where Mr. A's ex-girlfriend, Ms. B, lived, they found Ms. B stabbed with a sharp weapon, unconscious and in cardiac arrest. Ms. B was transported to the hospital by the 119 emergency medical team but passed away.

The police seized the suspected weapon used in the crime at the scene and deployed a forensic team to investigate the site.

The police plan to investigate Mr. A regarding the motive and then apply for an arrest warrant on charges of murder.
