The Gijang County Office has set up free bottled water sharing refrigerators at eight locations, including Gijang Market, the county office, the health center, and town and township civil service offices. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters is providing 30,000 bottles of free water to help local residents prevent heat-related illnesses and stay healthy during the summer.
Jung Jaerak, Head of External Cooperation at Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We hope this bottled water support will help residents have a safe and healthy summer. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to take the lead in supporting energy-vulnerable groups."
Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters has continuously carried out social contribution activities for energy-vulnerable groups, such as providing summer blankets, circulators, air conditioner installations, and dehumidifiers for senior centers to help residents living near the nuclear power plant cope with heatwaves. The organization plans to continue implementing welfare projects that residents can truly feel.
