LG Electronics announced on the 5th that it will participate in 'IFA 2024,' Europe's largest home appliance exhibition, held in Berlin, Germany, for five days starting on the 6th (local time).
LG Electronics' exhibition theme this year is 'Experience, Affectionate Intelligence Home.' The company plans to showcase the 'LG AI Home' solution, which upgrades customers' daily lives by empathizing with them through an AI home hub and AI appliances equipped with generative artificial intelligence (AI).
In particular, LG Electronics will unveil 'LG ThinQ ON' for the first time at this exhibition. LG ThinQ ON is the industry's first hub equipped with generative AI, serving as the core device of LG AI Home that connects home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices with customers. Within LG AI Home, customers communicate with ThinQ ON via voice as if talking with family or friends. The generative AI understands the context of conversations and the surrounding environment to control appliances and IoT devices, providing optimal care for customers.

Various lifestyle spaces that concretely demonstrate LG AI Home have also been set up. Through spaces such as the 'Active Senior' space, the 'Children and Pets' space, and the 'YG (Young Generation) Generation' space, the exhibition shows how AI Home organically controls appliances and IoT devices to care for customers.
The foundation of the AI Home solution, 'AI Core Tech (core technology),' will also be showcased. AI Core Tech integrates LG Electronics' hardware technologies, such as motors and compressors, with AI technology. By analyzing the product usage environment with AI and providing optimized modes, it enhances both product performance and energy efficiency.
The exhibition will also reveal LG AI Home's role in creating a sustainable future by improving energy efficiency. LG Electronics' high-efficiency heat pump heating and cooling system analyzes energy consumption with AI and optimizes heating and cooling modes to save energy. LG Electronics' Therma V is an 'Air-Source Heat Pump (AWHP)' product that supplies indoor heating, cooling, and hot water by utilizing thermal energy from outside air. Compared to conventional boilers that burn fossil fuels for heating, it reduces carbon emissions and offers excellent energy efficiency.
