Gachon University will accept applications for the 2025 academic year early admission from the 9th to the 13th of this month. Through this early admission, Gachon University will select 3,560 students, which is 73% of the total 4,842 students. The remaining 1,282 students will be selected through regular admission.

With the increase in the College of Medicine quota from 40 to 90 students, Gachon University will recruit a total of 94 students in early admission: 40 through the essay screening, 17 through the student record screening, and 37 through the comprehensive student record screening.

Additionally, through the expanded Liberal Studies program this year, 321 students will be selected via the regional balance screening. The first stage is 100% student record screening (7 times the number of candidates), and the second stage selects students based on 50% of the first stage evaluation and 50% interview evaluation.

The early admission screening is broadly divided into essay screening, student record screening, and comprehensive student record screening.

The essay screening recruits 1,012 students based 100% on the essay test. Unlike last year, student record grades are not reflected, and selection is based solely on essay test scores.

The student record screening includes the outstanding student record screening and the rural (student record) screening, which selects students 100% based on student records. The regional balance screening selects candidates in two stages: the first stage is 100% student record screening (only career elective subjects reflected, 7 times the number of candidates), and the second stage is 50% of the first stage evaluation and 50% interview evaluation.

The outstanding student record screening selects 502 students and has a minimum CSAT score requirement. The regional balance screening selects 401 students, of which 321 are for the Liberal Studies program. The school principal recommendation screening conducts interviews after the CSAT, unlike last year.

The comprehensive student record screening includes the Gachon Windmill screening, Gachon Medical Science screening, equal opportunity screening, specialized high school screening, rural (comprehensive) screening, educational opportunity balance screening, and specialized high school graduate employed screening.

Gachon University also conducts student selection for early employment contract departments.

Selected as a leading university for the Ministry of Education’s ‘Early Employment Contract Department Development Project,’ Gachon University will receive up to 7.2 billion KRW over six years to select a total of 260 students in departments such as Bio-Medical Devices, Game and Video, Semiconductor and Display, Semiconductor Design, and Future Automotive.
