[2025 Early Admission Special] Hanseo University Establishes New AI-Related Department... First Recruitment

New Liberal Arts and AI-Related Departments Established

Hanseo University will select a total of 1,501 students for the 2025 academic year early admission, including 1,412 within the quota and 89 outside the quota. Hanseo University will open three AI (Artificial Intelligence)-related departments and a Liberal Arts major to admit their first freshmen.

By admission type, 1,282 students will be admitted through the Student Record Screening, 30 through the Comprehensive Student Record Screening, and 189 through the Practical Skills Screening. No minimum CSAT score requirements will be applied to any admission type or department.

In the Student Record Screening, a total of 8 subjects are reflected from the top 2 subjects in 4 areas: Korean, Foreign Language (including second foreign language), Mathematics, and Social Studies/Science for all admission types and departments. However, for the Student Record Screening 2 type only, a total of 10 subjects are reflected from the top 5 subjects in 2 of the 3 areas: Korean, English, and Mathematics. Non-academic activities include cumulative volunteer hours within the school.

Among the Student Record Screening types, the Hanseo Talent Screening, which includes an interview, reflects 60% from the student record (academic) and 40% from the interview. Since it is a combined evaluation rather than a stepwise screening, all applicants must take the interview. The Hanseo Talent Screening applies to its designated departments and the Department of Aviation Tourism for all admission types.

The Comprehensive Student Record (Convergence Talent) Screening selects students based on 100% document evaluation focusing on three criteria: personality and sociability, major suitability, and potential, using the school life record.

The Practical Skills Screening (General) places a high weight on the practical skills test. For design-related departments (Spatial Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design), the Department of Video Animation, the Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation, the Department of Practical Music, and the Department of Leisure and Marine Sports, the detailed weighting is 80% practical skills and 20% student record (academic). The Department of Security and Secretarial Studies reflects 50% practical skills, 30% interview, and 20% student record (academic). This year, Hanseo University newly established the Liberal Arts major and a major selection system by academic division to admit 240 students. This was created to expand students' freedom of major choice and to cultivate talent aligned with manpower demand in various industrial fields. Additionally, three departments in the AI·SW Faculty?Department of Aviation AI Software, Department of AI Robotics, and Department of AI Mobility?will admit freshmen for the first time. Their respective quotas are 40, 26, and 30 students.
