Daegu Buk-gu District Office (headed by Bae Kwangsik) visited Chamm Bread, a company in Buk-gu, Daegu that is leading the way in employing people with severe disabilities, on the 2nd to observe the bakery manufacturing site and communicate with relevant personnel.
Chamm Bread is a startup engaged in bakery manufacturing and processing, employing 35 workers, 30% of whom are people with severe disabilities. It is recognized as a model company for the employment of people with disabilities within the local community.

Bae Kwangsik, Mayor of Buk-gu, Daegu, listened to opinions on the working environment and welfare of employees with severe disabilities through discussions with the company’s representatives and workers, and expressed gratitude for their efforts to expand employment for people with disabilities. Meanwhile, Chamm Bread plans to continuously increase its employment of people with disabilities in collaboration with Irum High School and the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities.
Bae Kwangsik, Mayor of Buk-gu, Daegu, stated, “The district office will continue to strengthen cooperation with companies to promote the employment of people with disabilities and prepare various support policies.”
