Jeonnam Provincial Council Launches 5th Legislative Advisory Committee

Jeonnam Provincial Council Launches 5th Legislative Advisory Committee Jeonnam Provincial Council held the inauguration ceremony of the 5th Legislative Advisory Committee on the 2nd and officially began its operation.

The Jeonnam Provincial Council launched the 5th Legislative Advisory Committee and pledged to be a "Council that works well and is enjoyable to work in."


On the 3rd, the Jeonnam Provincial Council announced that it held the 5th Legislative Advisory Committee plenary meeting on the 2nd at the council's Choi's room.


At the meeting, Chairman Kim Tae-gyun, Vice Chairman Lee Kwang-il, and chairpersons of each standing committee attended, and the appointment letters were presented to 35 experts in various fields as legislative advisory committee members, followed by the election of executives (Chair Kim Mi-young, Vice Chair Kwon Seong-nam).


Additionally, seven subcommittees on council operations, planning and administration, health, welfare and environment, economy, tourism and culture, safety, construction and firefighting, agriculture and fisheries, and education were held to share diverse opinions by field.


Kim Tae-gyun, Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, said, "The 5th Jeollanam-do Provincial Council Legislative Advisory Committee is composed of members with expertise and capabilities suitable for each subcommittee." He added, "We hope you propose rational and effective policies through various discussions in the subcommittees."


The council's Legislative Advisory Committee consists of experts in various fields to provide advice and policy research necessary for legislative activities. During their two-year term, they propose policy alternatives needed for legislative activities and perform advisory roles to ensure policy effectiveness through research, investigation, and data collection.
