The two companies decided to collaborate to target the world with proven technology from a native startup. Through this agreement, they plan to ▲create synergy in both B2C and B2B sectors during global expansion and ▲lead the dissemination and spread of AI search and services based on Korean AI companies' technology in the global market.
Lutton will provide faster and more comfortable B2C AI services by utilizing ScionicAI's generative AI operation platform 'Storm' and infrastructure optimization technology, while ScionicAI will develop and provide enterprise infrastructure based on Lutton's AI search technology to expand its global B2B business.
Recently, Lutton has been emphasizing its AI search services, and ScionicAI has been recognized for its platform competitiveness in optimizing various generative AI technologies for enterprise environments.
Lutton's AI search engine offers faster and more accurate search results by building a data structure understandable by large language models (LLM) in advance while utilizing existing web search engine algorithms. When combined with ScionicAI's customized generative AI infrastructure and solutions for enterprises, significant synergy is expected.
Both companies' proactive approach to global expansion also forms the background of this collaboration. Since last year, Lutton has been providing local B2C AI services in Japan and is conducting confidential proof of concept (PoC) with local large corporations. ScionicAI also aims to complete Japan market-specific solutions, supply enterprises, and establish a local corporation within this year.
ScionicAI is an AI startup founded by personnel who conducted AI-related business and R&D at Naver and Toss. CEO Go Seok-hyun was a co-founder of CompanyAI, acquired by Naver in 2017. After serving as Naver Clova SW platform leader and Toss machine learning engineer, he founded ScionicAI last year. Other key members have overseen the development and research of Naver's LLM 'HyperClova' model or handled AI business and strategy.
ScionicAI is engaged in various technical collaborations not only through domestic LLM company partnerships such as Naver Cloud and KT but also with media companies and service providers.
As a leading domestic AI B2C service company, Lutton's monthly active users (MAU) approached 4 million as of August, and it is accelerating global expansion to the Middle East and Southeast Asia following Japan with various AI B2C services including AI search. It is currently developing localized services for candidate regions and holding partner meetings for business cooperation.
Go Seok-hyun, CEO of ScionicAI, said, "We will enhance competitiveness in broader global markets and create greater business opportunities." Lee Se-young, CEO of Lutton, stated, "We will prove the competitiveness of young and fast Korean startups to the world and contribute to the development of our AI industry."
