Applicants under 45 years old with South Korean nationality eligible

Non-ferrous metal smelting company Korea Zinc announced on the 3rd that it is accepting applications for the winners of the '2024 Metal Craftsman of the Year Award' in the metal crafts and jewelry category.
Applicants must be South Korean modern metal crafts artists or jewelry creators or teams under the age of 45 who have been actively producing works for more than 10 years.
The application period is from the 19th to the 23rd of this month. Applicants can download the application form from the Korea Zinc website and submit it via email.
Two finalists will be selected through the first and second rounds. The winners will each receive a prize of 10 million KRW and a plaque. They will also have opportunities for exhibitions and promotions.
The Metal Craftsman of the Year Award was established in 2013 by the Glass Art Museum to promote the development of modern metal crafts in South Korea. Korea Zinc has contributed to the advancement of Korean metal crafts through sponsorship for the past 11 years and has been directly hosting the award since last year.
A Korea Zinc official stated, "Korea Zinc, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, plans to strengthen sustainable management that grows together with society," adding, "We hope the Metal Craftsman of the Year Award will support the artistic creative activities of young metal craftsmen."
