[Invest&Law] Former Constitutional Court Justice Lee Jung-mi Appointed as Chairman of Namyang Dairy Compliance Committee

Former Constitutional Court Justice Lee Jung-mi (62, 16th Judicial Research and Training Institute) has been appointed as the chairperson of the 'Compliance Committee' established to strengthen Namyang Dairy Products' compliance and ethical management.

Namyang Dairy Products formed the advisory Compliance Committee on the 27th of last month.

The chairperson is former Constitutional Court Justice Lee Jung-mi. Justice Lee, who graduated from Masan Girls' High School and Korea University Law School, passed the 26th Judicial Examination in 1984. Starting as a judge at Daejeon District Court, she served at Incheon District Court, Suwon District Court, Seoul Family Court, Seoul District Court, Seoul High Court, was a professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and held positions as chief judge at Seoul Western District Court, Seoul Central District Court, Busan High Court, and Daejeon High Court. In 2011, at age 49, she was appointed as a Constitutional Court Justice, becoming the second woman and the youngest ever to hold the position. She was the first in Constitutional Court history to serve twice as acting Chief Justice and presided over the impeachment trial of President Park Geun-hye, reading the impeachment ruling. After retiring, she served as a distinguished professor at Korea University Law School and has been working as the lead attorney at the law firm Logos since July 2020.

Other committee members appointed include Cho Hyun-jung, Chairperson of Bit Computer; Jang Young-gyun, Professor of Business Administration at Sogang University; and Lee Sang-wook, Head of Compliance Management at Namyang Dairy Products.
