Employees Who Drank Refrigerator Drinks at Subway Station Vomited... "Bleach Components Detected"

In connection with the incident where employees of Incheon Transit Corporation showed vomiting symptoms after drinking bottled beverages taken from a refrigerator in a subway station office, it was confirmed that the beverage was bleach.

On the 2nd, the Namdong Police Station in Incheon announced that they recently received a notification from the National Forensic Service that bleach components were detected in the liquid whose composition was requested for analysis. No substances other than bleach components were detected in the liquid contained in the PET bottle.

The refrigerator where this PET bottle was stored was also found to be used for storing lost items such as food found in the subway.

The police plan to continue investigating about 40 people, including transit corporation employees. They are also investigating the possibility that a subway passenger left it behind.

A police official said, "Only bleach was contained in the PET bottle, and it has not yet been confirmed who put it in the refrigerator," adding, "We are investigating with various possibilities in mind."

Earlier, around 5 a.m. on the 11th of last month, two men in their 20s to 30s, including Mr. A, an employee of Incheon Transit Corporation, showed symptoms such as vomiting after drinking the liquid in the refrigerator inside the Incheon City Hall Station of the Incheon Subway.
