Jungang-dong Culture and Arts Street 'Buzzing'
The 'Jungang-dong Chimaek Festival' in Iksan-si, Jeonbuk, which thrived over two days despite the late summer tropical nights, successfully concluded.
According to Iksan-si on the 2nd, the event was held from the 30th to 31st of last month around the Jungang-dong Culture and Arts Street. About 10,000 people visited the festival site, lively celebrating a refreshing 'Chimaek Festival' to bid farewell to the hot summer.

This festival, held for the first time in Iksan, gained significance as local representative chicken brands and beer companies participated. Several local companies, including Harim, Dasarang, Sevenbrau, Iri Beer, and Hite, showcased their best flavors to the citizens.
Starting with the opening ceremony on the 30th of last month, the festival's atmosphere was heated up with electronic dance music (EDM) performances. People of all ages came forward to the stage and danced together to the lively music. Participants spent the last night of August enjoying chicken and beer of their choice.
The city prepared various side events and activities to help visitors enjoy the festival more fully. A prize event worth about 13 million won was held so that anyone could participate and enjoy the festival together.
Additionally, when paying with the Iksan local love gift certificate 'Dairom' via QR code payment, a 10% additional accumulation event was offered, providing up to a 20% discount benefit.
Jeong Heon-yul, mayor of Iksan, said, "I am grateful to the many people who visited the festival, and I am proud that the first Chimaek Festival held in Iksan was successfully completed with great public response. I ask for much interest in the Chicken Road to be established in the Culture and Arts Street in the future."
