Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) launched the "Redevelopment and Reconstruction Expert Support Group" on the 2nd to support balanced regional development between the old and new downtown areas.
On the same day, the district held an appointment ceremony in the main conference room of the district office and began operating the support group. The group consists of 27 experts in various fields such as urban planning, legal consultation, appraisal, and architectural structure. Over the next two years, they will provide systematic support to enhance the effectiveness of maintenance projects.
They will serve as advisors throughout the entire maintenance project process, from initial pre-consultation for reconstruction, on-site investigations for reconstruction safety diagnosis, decisions on appropriateness reviews, advisory roles on maintenance project cost analysis, to reviewing maintenance plan formulation.
Any resident can apply for pre-consultation and receive advice from experts in each field regarding feasible types of maintenance projects, project promotion procedures, and legal requirement reviews.
A communication channel will also be established for residents who want to promote maintenance projects but do not know how. A page titled "Ask Anything About Redevelopment and Reconstruction!" will be opened on the district office website to provide guidance on complex and difficult real estate policies and maintenance projects.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "I hope everyone will come together with wisdom to ensure that the large and small maintenance projects underway throughout the region proceed smoothly," and added, "The district will also spare no administrative support to revitalize maintenance projects and achieve balanced regional development."
Meanwhile, the district reorganized its organization in July by establishing the "Balanced Development Promotion Team" to promote urban development projects quickly and efficiently.
