Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 2nd that it actively participated in the '2024 A Farm Show Start-up and Return-to-Farming Expo' held at the aT Center (Trade Exhibition Convention Center) in Seoul from June 30 to September 1, in order to attract new residents interested in returning to farming and rural life.

Miryang City operated a consultation booth for those interested in returning to farming or rural areas, introducing various support policies for aspiring young and middle-aged returnees, such as: ▲ support projects for start-ups and home purchases for returnees ▲ settlement support projects for young farmers ▲ rental-type smart farms ▲ initial settlement support projects for returnees and young successor farmers. Customized information was provided through individual consultations.
In addition, Miryang actively promoted its beautiful natural environment, tourist attractions, and agricultural and specialty products produced directly by returnees and young farmers.
Visitors to the event said that hearing about Miryang City's differentiated support policies and one-stop consultation services provided them with a valuable opportunity to deeply understand and envision life and the agricultural environment in Miryang, expressing high expectations for returning to farming or rural life.
Shin Youngsang, head of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Through our participation in this expo, we will promote Miryang as the optimal destination for urban residents wishing to return to farming or rural areas, and we will prepare a variety of support programs to help ensure their stable and successful settlement."
