Korea National Oil Corporation and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Sign MOU on Audit and Safety Cooperation Between Internal Audit Organizations

Strengthening Audit Capability and Internal Controls, Promoting Safety Culture Expansion Through Collaboration in Safety Fields

Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) announced on the 2nd that it has signed a "Business Agreement for the Advancement of Audit and Safety Fields" with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) at the KNOC headquarters in Ulsan, pledging to strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation in audit operations.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials in charge of audit operations, including Park Gongu, Standing Auditor of KNOC, and Cho Hyonsu, Standing Auditor of KOSHA, who represent the internal audit organizations of both institutions.


Audit officials from both organizations agreed that the accumulated audit know-how and expertise of KNOC and KOSHA can be widely utilized beyond the specific business scope of each institution. They also shared the view that this would serve as a vital resource for advancing operations and expanding professional competencies at both organizations.


At the signing ceremony, the two organizations pledged to: ▲advance operations and strengthen professional competencies through collaboration ▲exchange information such as audit case studies to improve audit operations ▲mutually support audit personnel or audit techniques ▲share exemplary policies to promote a culture of safety.


Park Gongu, Standing Auditor of KNOC, stated, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will vitalize the exchange of expertise in the audit field possessed by both organizations' internal audit bodies, expand audit and internal control capabilities, and contribute to the spread of a safety culture and enhancement of safety management capabilities in the public sector through cooperation in the safety field."
