2116 Students Selected in Rolling Admissions
Students with School Violence Records Excluded from Curriculum Screening
Ewha Womans University will select 2,116 students in the 2025 academic year early admission. To cultivate talents in advanced fields, related departments have been newly established for recruitment.
The Student Record Comprehensive Future Talent Track selects 1,010 students based on 100% document evaluation of student records and does not conduct interviews. The minimum CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) score requirement for the humanities track is a total grade of 6 or less in three of the four subjects: Korean, Math, English, and Social/Science Exploration. For the natural sciences track, it is a total grade of 5 or less in two of the four subjects: Korean, Math, English, and Social/Science Exploration (including Math). Unlike last year, social studies exploration scores are now accepted for the natural sciences track. Applications to the Future Industry Pharmacy major in the College of Pharmacy from the humanities track are only allowed until this year.
For the Student Record Comprehensive Special Opportunity Track and Social Contribution Track, the minimum CSAT score requirement for the humanities track is a total grade of 8 or less in three subjects. For the natural sciences track, it is a total grade of 6 or less in two of the four subjects: Korean, Math, English, and Science Exploration (including Math). The Special Opportunity Track also selects one student for the Pharmacy major (natural sciences) and applies the same minimum CSAT score requirements as the natural sciences track.
In the Student Record Curriculum Track (High School Recommendation Track), which selects 417 students, the maximum number of recommendations per high school has been expanded to 20. Additionally, the weight of career exploration subjects in the student record curriculum grades has increased from 10% to 20%. The selection method has changed from a combined evaluation of student record curriculum grades and interview scores to a two-step selection process. In the first step, five times the number of candidates are selected based on student record curriculum grades, and in the second step, selection is made by combining 20% interview scores and 80% first-step grades. The minimum CSAT score requirement is not applied.
The Essay Track selects 297 students based on 100% essay scores and applies the same minimum CSAT score requirements as the Future Talent Track. Different types of essay exams are conducted depending on the characteristics of the recruitment units.
This year, Ewha Womans University established the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science by integrating the Department of Artificial Intelligence and the Department of Data Science. To actively cultivate creative and convergent talents in advanced fields, the recruitment scale of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is 113 students, and the quota for the Department of Convergence Electronics and Semiconductor Engineering, majoring in Electronic and Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering, has been expanded to 64 students.
Ewha Womans University excludes students with school violence records in their student records from being recommended for the Student Record Curriculum Track (High School Recommendation Track). In document evaluation tracks (Student Record Comprehensive, Arts and Physical Education Document, and Special Talent Track), deductions or zero scores may be applied to the total document evaluation score through deliberation by the university's admission-related committee.
