First Joint Hosting by the Military, Commemoration
Vow to Ensure Successful Event
The Changnyeong County Sports Council announced on the 2nd that it held a commemorative event on the 30th of last month to celebrate the hosting of the 65th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival.
This ceremony was organized to commemorate the joint hosting of the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival by Changnyeong County and Haman County?the first time for counties in Gyeongsangnam-do?and to encourage the efforts made so far, reaffirming their commitment to successfully holding the event.

Until now, the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival had only been held in cities due to infrastructure reasons. In April, Changnyeong County and Haman County submitted a joint bid, and after review by the Provincial Sports Festival Committee in May, the final hosting was confirmed by a resolution at the 8th board meeting of the Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council.
Starting with this commemorative event, they plan to thoroughly prepare for a successful festival by forming a dedicated organizing team, establishing the basic plan for the event, and improving sports facilities by 2026.

A representative from the Changnyeong County Sports Council said, "Through this event, we aim to widely inform local residents about the hosting of the Provincial Sports Festival and make it the starting point for our efforts toward a successful event."
