All-in-One Academic Features: Mobile Student ID, Electronic Attendance, and Academic Administration
Daedong University to Launch in 2nd Semester 2024, Dong-A University in 1st Semester 2025
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) announced on the 2nd that it will launch the smart campus app “Campusrak,” which integrates all academic functions necessary for university life into one application.
“Campusrak” is a mobile-exclusive smart campus platform for university students promoted by BNK Financial Group. The name combines “campus,” symbolizing university, and “rak (樂),” meaning enjoyment, to convey the message “enjoy your university life.”
With the launch of this platform, students can conveniently use various functions required for campus life?including mobile student ID, electronic attendance, academic administration, and school notification push alerts?all within a single app, eliminating the inconvenience of having to install multiple apps for different features.
Additionally, as Busan Bank takes charge of system development and maintenance, universities using the platform can reduce their cost burden and benefit from budget savings.
On July 18 and July 24, Busan Bank signed business agreements with Daedong University and Dong-A University, respectively. Daedong University will open “Campusrak” starting from the second semester of 2024, and Dong-A University from the first semester of 2025. The bank is also in discussions with several other local universities to expand the service.
On the 4th, to commemorate the launch of “Campusrak,” Busan Bank will hold an on-site promotional event at Daedong University, offering coffee, beverages, and prizes to students who sign up for the platform.
Kim Jinhan, Head of Digital Finance Division at Busan Bank, said, “Campusrak not only provides academic functions but also features BNK’s exclusive content linked to the region, such as ‘Gourmet Busan’ and ‘Life.’ We will continue to develop Campusrak so that it can grow into a leading business model for mutual growth between local universities and the bank.”
