The Democratic Party's Martial Law Claim Called "National Flag Disorder and Fake News Incitement"

Handonghun "Words as if there is a bugging device in my ear"
Chukyungho "Strong regret expressed... Urges cautious speech and behavior"

The leadership of the People Power Party criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, for his remarks during the all-party leaders' meeting the previous day, where he said, "There have been repeated talks about martial law recently. It is a perfect dictatorship," calling it 'disruption of the national order' and 'fake news incitement.'

Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, said at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the 2nd, "Is it true that martial law is being prepared in our country?" He added, "Is the president preparing martial law without our knowledge? If so, please inform us and provide evidence." He then pointed out, "Kim Min-seok, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party, said he would gradually provide evidence, but when is 'gradually'? Saying we will know gradually is a very irresponsible statement. It sounds like saying there is a bugging device in my ear."

Han emphasized, "If it is really true, we will also stop it. If it is not true, isn't it disrupting the national order?" He stressed, "If it is a lie to the extent of saying martial law is being prepared, I think it corresponds to disruption of the national order."

Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People Power Party, expressed strong regret over Lee's sudden unfounded remarks inciting martial law at a time when he should be seeking livelihood cooperation, saying, "It is not only a very rude remark that should not be made in front of the ruling party leader but also fake news incitement that plunges the country into chaos."

Choo said, "Lee said that there have been continuous talks about martial law recently, but where exactly did these talks come from?" He added, "It is fake news created and spread by the Democratic Party." He further said, "Does the Democratic Party have nothing else to do but false incitement, thinking the public is foolish? I urge Lee, as the leader of the largest party, to be cautious in his words and actions."
