'Smile Power Tailgate' Standard on All Trims
2.2 Diesel Signature 43.75 Million KRW · 2.5 Gasoline 42.02 Million KRW
Kia is launching the model year update of the Sorento, a representative mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Korea. The price has increased by about 1 million KRW compared to the previous model year, but features such as the 'Smart Power Tailgate,' which automatically opens the trunk door when approaching the rear with the vehicle's smart key, are now standard.
Kia announced that the 'The 2025 Sorento' will be released on the 2nd.
The model year update includes new features such as steering wheel vibration warning (haptic) and sunvisor LED lighting, which are standard across all trims. The Smart Power Tailgate is also standard starting from the base Prestige trim.
Additionally, options that were previously available as add-ons?such as ▲Kia Digital Key 2 ▲touch-type outside door handles ▲fingerprint authentication system?are now standard from the Signature trim upward. The Digital Center Mirror (DCM) is now available as an option on the Prestige and Noblesse trims as well.
The design-specialized trim 'Gravity' adds door side garnish with exclusive colors and standard black suede interior materials.
The selling prices for the 2.5 gasoline turbo model are ▲Prestige 36.05 million KRW ▲Noblesse 38.91 million KRW ▲Signature 42.02 million KRW ▲Gravity 42.91 million KRW.
The 2.2 diesel model is priced at ▲Prestige 37.78 million KRW ▲Noblesse 40.64 million KRW ▲Signature 43.75 million KRW ▲Gravity 44.64 million KRW.
For the 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid 2WD model, reflecting eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits, prices are ▲Prestige 38.85 million KRW ▲Noblesse 41.81 million KRW ▲Signature 44.64 million KRW ▲Gravity 45.53 million KRW. The 4WD model is priced at ▲Prestige 42.60 million KRW ▲Noblesse 45.57 million KRW ▲Signature 48.40 million KRW ▲Gravity 49.29 million KRW. Prices have increased by 690,000 to 990,000 KRW depending on the trim.
A Kia official stated, "The Sorento was the first leisure vehicle (RV) to rank first in domestic sales in the first half of this year and did not miss the monthly sales top spot either. By adding customer-preferred features and standardizing advanced convenience features by trim, we aim to further enhance product competitiveness with this model year update and solidify its position as the best-selling car in Korea."
