Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the opening ceremony of the "Geumcheon Youth Dream Center" (hereinafter referred to as Dream Center) will be held at 10:30 AM on September 3.
About 60 people, including Geumcheon-gu Mayor Yu Seong-hoon, district council members, and representatives of resident companies, are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
The Dream Center was established at 22-5, Beoman-ro 15-gil, with a total floor area of 1,269.19㎡, spanning from basement level 1 to the 9th floor, to encourage young entrepreneurs' challenges and support youth career planning.
The space is organized as follows: ▲ 1st floor: information desk, lobby ▲ 2nd floor: book cafe, community space ▲ 3rd to 6th floors: operation offices, 16 independent offices ▲ 7th floor: women's lounge, 2 meeting rooms ▲ 8th floor: men's lounge, collaboration space ▲ 9th floor: auditorium, lounge.
The book cafe and community space on the 2nd floor are open for residents to use comfortably. Independent offices on the 3rd to 6th floors are occupied by companies, and the 7th and 8th floors provide spaces for meetings and consultations with partner companies. Various startup education and programs will be conducted in the auditorium on the 9th floor.
The Dream Center holds abundant resources on youth entrepreneurship and is entrusted to be operated by the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Chung-Ang University, which possesses diverse technologies for nurturing young startups.
The cooperation foundation plans to support resident companies with stage-specific programs such as professional counseling (mentoring), promotional support, investment capability enhancement, and job network expansion.
The district publicly recruited resident companies in May this year, and after document evaluation and interviews of 26 applicants, selected 10 companies with high growth potential to move into the Dream Center.
The Dream Center plans to promote startup consulting services, education for building business models, and startup idea competitions. Various programs are also prepared for local residents interested in entrepreneurship.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "I know that many young people with good startup ideas give up halfway due to difficulties in the startup process. I expect the Geumcheon Youth Dream Center to help young people challenge entrepreneurship and greatly support their successful startups."
