YB, Park Ki-young, LUCY, and others transform the traditional orchestra-centered performance into a band-inclusive concert
Online and phone reservations open from 10 AM on September 11 for 6,000 Nowon-gu residents
Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold the '2024 Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Autumn Concert' on October 5.
The 'Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Autumn Concert' is one of Nowon-gu's three major music events, following the spring-themed 'Danghyeoncheon Cherry Blossom Concert' and the 'Suraksan Sunset Concert' held with the sunset of Suraksan Mountain, making it a prestigious concert that takes charge of Nowon-gu’s autumn nights.
Now in its 6th year, the 'Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Autumn Concert' has been held every autumn since 2019. It was organized to provide residents with opportunities for high-quality cultural experiences and to foster local cultural pride.
Especially this year, the concert will shift from the traditional orchestra-centered performance to a band-inclusive concert, adding a unique musical color to offer enjoyment to residents of various age groups.
This performance will feature three teams presenting a variety of colors and rich performances to welcome the season of abundant harvest and clear skies in October. The lineup includes ▲ YB, widely loved nationwide as Korea’s top band, ▲ singer Park Ki-young, known for her clear and pure vocal tone and unwavering live performance, and ▲ LUCY, a four-member band with a unique musical style and refreshing charm.
Unlike typical concerts held by local governments that usually last 15 to 20 minutes per performance, this event will unusually feature over 40 minutes of performance per artist, raising expectations even higher.
The district is conducting advance reservations for Nowon-gu residents for this concert. Online reservations are available for a total of 3,000 seats, with the application period from 10:00 AM on September 11 to 5:00 PM on September 12, on a first-come, first-served basis, through a separate reservation website.
In addition to online applications, telephone reservations are also possible. Another 3,000 seats are available via phone, with the application period from 10:00 AM on September 23 to 5:00 PM on September 24, also on a first-come, first-served basis.
Advance reservation holders can receive their tickets (wristbands) at the on-site ticket booth from 2:00 PM on the day of the concert, October 5, by presenting the advance reservation confirmation text sent by the Nowon Cultural Foundation and individual identification proving that both the holder and one accompanying person are Nowon-gu residents. Admission starts at 3:00 PM, and all seats will be free seating.
Meanwhile, the district will operate the 'Visiting Orchestra' program in the second half of the year. It will be held for about 70 minutes at ▲ Pungnim I-Won A in Gongneung on September 1, ▲ Gateball Court at Hagye Children’s Park on September 8, ▲ Forena Nowon A in Sanggye on September 21, and ▲ Eunbit 1 and 2 Complex A in Sanggye on September 22. The Western Symphony Orchestra (conductor Bang Seong-ho) and saxophonist Kim Seong-hoon will perform, allowing residents to enjoy beautiful melodies of various orchestral pieces right in front of their homes.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "This year, we have prepared the autumn concert so that residents can enjoy high-quality music near their homes while feeling the cool autumn breeze," adding, "I hope the harmony of the autumn night’s atmosphere and music will provide the audience with unforgettable memories."
