On the 1st (local time), at East Lake Golf Club (par 71, 7,490 yards) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Im finished 7th (18 under par) by shooting a 7-under-par 64 in the final 4th round of the 2024 PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs (PO) Tour Championship, which concluded. This is his second top 10 finish since tying for 2nd place at the Tour Championship in August 2022. He earned a bonus prize money of $2.75 million (about 3.67 billion KRW). Although he did not win this year, he appeared in 24 tournaments and finished in the top 10 eight times. He had a meaningful season by qualifying for the Tour Championship for six consecutive years since 2019.

Im started from a tie for 10th place and collected 1 eagle and 6 birdies (with 1 bogey). He showed a steep upward trend by reducing 5 strokes in the first 8 holes, including his first birdie at the 2nd hole (par 3), consecutive birdies at the 6th and 7th holes, and an eagle with a ‘one-on, one-putt’ at the 8th hole (par 4, 324 yards). After taking a breather with a bogey at the 9th hole (par 3), he finished the round by making 3 birdies at the 14th, 16th, and 17th holes. He relied on a maximum drive of 341 yards, a fairway hit rate of 64.29%, and 1.46 putts per green in regulation as his driving forces.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) won the FedEx Cup championship for the first time. On the final day, he recorded 1 eagle, 5 birdies, and 3 bogeys to shoot 4 under par. Scheffler, who entered the Tour Championship as the FedEx Cup No. 1 and received a stroke bonus of 10 under par, finished the four days at 20 under par to complete a 5-stroke victory (30 under par). This was his 7th win of the season, including the Masters victory this year, his 13th career win, and he received a winner’s prize of $25 million (about 33.4 billion KRW).

In an interview immediately after winning, Scheffler said, "I played six rounds including practice rounds and took good care of myself. After consecutive bogeys on the 7th and 8th holes, bouncing back with a birdie on the 9th hole was good." He added, "I was lucky to win in competition with strong players. I want to express my gratitude to my family and the staff who helped me."
