'Good Price Store' Meal Refund Benefits Provided
Shinhan Card Offers Cashback at Over 7,000 Traditional Market Stores

Card company discounts and events will be held at the September Donghaeng Festival.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 2nd that it will collaborate with card companies to promote various discounts and events to ease the burden of dining out and grocery shopping during the September Donghaeng Festival period.

First, through an agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and nine card companies, a 2,000 KRW refund benefit will be provided when paying by card for meals or more than 10,000 KRW at over 8,000 nationwide ‘Good Price Store’ franchise locations.

Following the agreement in April between the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, BC Card, and NH Nonghyup Card, this month BC Card will offer up to a 10% discount when paying with BC Card at about 30,000 small merchant locations and 1,300 ‘Baeknyeon Gage’ (Century-old Stores). NH Nonghyup Card also offers a 10% discount when using NH Pay My Catch at ‘Baeknyeon Gage’ stores.

Starting this month, KB Kookmin Card will hold a promotional event for customers who pay with card at card-type Onnuri gift certificate franchise stores located in about 100,000 shopping districts and traditional markets nationwide. Among customers who use cards totaling 100,000 KRW or more at these stores, a total of 2,024 people?representing the year 2024?will be drawn, with 24 winners receiving 500,000 KRW cashback and 2,000 winners receiving 20,000 KRW cashback. Additionally, until the 30th, a 5% discount event using Donghaeng Festival coupons will be promoted when purchasing at the ‘KB Pay Onnuri Shopping Mall,’ where Onnuri gift certificate franchise stores are located within KB’s own shopping mall.

Shinhan Card is conducting the ‘Our Neighborhood Traditional Market Revitalization Support Project’ until the 22nd, offering 5,000 KRW cashback for payments of 20,000 KRW or more at about 7,000 stores operating within 55 traditional markets nationwide.

Won Young-jun, Director of the Small Business Policy Office at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “Through cooperation with card companies, we have expanded benefits for consumers using traditional markets and local commercial districts in September,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of the public so that small business owners can be encouraged by actively using markets and alley shopping districts during the festival period.”
