On the 1st, the agency Source Music announced that "CRAZY," released on the 30th of last month, was streamed 2,036,516 times on Spotify on the day of its release, ranking 61st on the "Daily Top Songs Global" chart. "CRAZY" was the highest-ranking new entry on this chart that day.
Among K-pop girl group songs released this year, "CRAZY" is the only track to have recorded over 2 million streams on Spotify on its release day. "CRAZY" charted on the "Daily Top Songs" in 21 countries/regions, including the United States, Canada, and Japan.
The response in the United States is particularly encouraging. "CRAZY" recorded over 577,913 streams on Spotify in the U.S., entering the "Daily Top Songs USA" chart at number 66. More than 28% (577,913 streams) of the total streams (2,036,516) came from the U.S.
"CRAZY" surpassed the previous daily highest streaming count in the U.S. on Spotify, which was 535,924 streams recorded by their previous song "EASY."
Spotify is a major platform reflected in Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart calculations and holds the largest market share in the global music streaming market. Achieving their personal best and highest performance on Spotify, where music fans worldwide gather, raises expectations for the future success of "CRAZY."
The agency explained, "Considering that 'EASY' entered the U.S. Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100,' this is an astonishing achievement."
LE SSERAFIM is expected to accelerate the popularity of their new song "CRAZY," as interest continues with the group dominating the U.S. X (formerly Twitter) trends and YouTube’s rising videos chart “Top 10” from the 30th to the 31st of last month.
