Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Hongdae Red Road R6 area on the afternoon of August 31, where the youth festival ‘Youth Summer Night Festa’ was held.
The ‘Youth Summer Night Festa’ is a festival designed to help teenagers relieve stress caused by studying, entrance exams, and friendships, while experiencing various cultural performances and booth activities.
About 500 teenagers participated in this festival, which featured performances by six bands operated directly by the youth. In addition, experience booths for stress relief were prepared, capturing the attention of the teenagers.
To support the youth, singer Kim Heung-guk and actor Jung Joon-ho also made surprise appearances at the event, adding to the festival’s excitement.
On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said to the teenagers, “I hope you can relieve your stress and recharge your tired body and mind here at Hongdae Red Road, the holy ground of busking,” and added, “Mapo District will continue to create more spaces and time for the youth.”
