The city of Daegu announced that, starting from the 1st, executives and employees of major local retailers such as Lotte Department Store (Outlet, Daegu, Sangin, Yulha) and Hyundai Department Store will use DaeguRo Taxi (Business) for business trips.
The 'DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service,' which offers convenience and cost-effectiveness for business trips, is expected to invigorate the activation of 'DaeguRo Taxi' through its expansion among private companies.
Following the introduction of DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service at Shinsegae Department Store Daegu, the first private company in the Daegu area to do so last July, HS Hwaseong and Daegu Department Store have also decided to participate. With the recent participation of Lotte Department Store (Outlet, Daegu, Sangin, Yulha) and Hyundai Department Store, this is seen as a positive sign that DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service is successfully establishing and expanding in the private sector.
This is the result of the convenience and cost-effectiveness of DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service, the participating companies' commitment to revitalizing the local economy and actively supporting the struggling local taxi industry, and the city of Daegu's proactive promotion and policy support.
Since its launch in March, DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service has made it even more convenient to use taxis for business trips and fieldwork. The app eliminates the previously cumbersome processes of issuing and submitting receipts, checking trip details, and settlement.
As of the end of July, over 92% of operating taxis have joined, enabling rapid dispatch through DaeguRo. Unlike Kakao Biz Service, another advantage is that no separate fee is charged to companies using the service.
The city of Daegu has regarded the expansion of DaeguRo Taxi among private companies as a key means of revitalizing the service and has made efforts accordingly. On July 4, the city promoted the service to member companies attending the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Economic Trends Briefing and has been visiting individual companies to promote the service and explain its features. Institutionally, the city also provides support by offering up to a 20% reduction in the traffic impact fee for companies using taxis for business purposes.
Additionally, before private sector expansion, the public sector has already been using DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service.
In the first half of this year, after signing a 'DaeguRo Taxi Activation Business Agreement' with 37 public institutions in the region?including the city of Daegu, 9 districts and counties, 4 public corporations, 8 affiliated organizations, the Daegu Office of Education, and the Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office?public institution executives and employees have actively used DaeguRo Taxi. As of the end of July, the total number of calls reached 4,442, and the total number of subscribers was 8,025.
Heo Joonseok, Director of Daegu City's Transportation Bureau, said, "First of all, I would like to thank the local private companies that are actively using DaeguRo Taxi Biz Service," and added, "I ask that many companies and citizens actively participate in using DaeguRo Taxi to support the struggling local taxi industry and revitalize the local economy."
